What is Fetch Rewards?

 
Fetch Rewards, available on Android and iOS devices, is a shopping app that allows consumers to earn rewards by scanning their receipts. Fetch Rewards makes money via affiliate commissions paid by the brands (such as Dove or Pepsi) it partners with as well as interchange fees.

The system currently has a limit of submitting 35 receipts within a 7-day period. This 35 receipt limit is based on the date you snap the receipt, not the checkout date. This simply means that over a rolling 7-day period, you can snap up to 35 receipts.

Exchange points for free gift cards by going to the Rewards page and scrolling through your options under Use Points. You can redeem points for gift cards when you accrue as few as 3,000 points. Gift cards are available in set dollar amounts generally ranging from $3 to $50.

NB: If you do a lot of shopping online note that, Fetch Rewards has launched its Digital Receipt Program called eReceipts. To participate, you must connect your Amazon or email account to earn points for online purchases. ... Every time you tap the blue eReceipts button from the app, Fetch will scan your account for digital receipts.




How long does it take to redeem your Fetch Rewards

It can take anywhere from 24 to 48 hours to receive your Fetch Rewards points once you have scanned your receipt. Once you reach a minimum of 3,000 points you can head to the “Rewards” section of the app.

Tip:
You can earn points in the Fetch app whenever you scan receipts, but you'll earn more points when you make a purchase on a qualifying brand (any product). To earn points, just buy any product from the brands listed, and you'll earn 10 points for every dollar you spend.

The reason that Fetch Rewards is able to pay you is because they use your receipt for market research. They take this information and sell it to companies so that they can use the data to help improve their products and services.

Also your Fetch Rewards points don't expire when you're actively using the app. However, they will expire if you're inactive for 90 days or longer. You can reset the 90-day clock of inactivity by just submitting a new receipt any time.

Is it illegal to keep other peoples receipts?

 It is fraud because you have not met the requirements of purchase. Receipts are generally not transferable. You are offering to sell them something that you own while failing to disclose material facts that would have caused them to refuse the transaction.



Common reasons for account suspensions:

 

• Changing non-partner items to partner items.
• Having multiple accounts on one device.
• Creating fake accounts to receive referral bonuses.
• If an account is inactive for 91 days, the points earned on the account will expire the following day, on the 92nd day. Inactive status means there have been no receipt scans, reward redemptions, GoodRx users, or Fetch Pay transactions on the account within that 91-day time period.

If you're looking to earn cash, you'll have to jump through hoops to receive it as Fetch Rewards does not allow users to cash out via PayPal or check. Instead, you can purchase a Visa or Mastercard gift card with your points that will spend like cash, or stick with the other gift card cash out options.
