How to crack a modem device

A modem is a hardware device that connects a computer or router to a broadband network. Also it provides access to the internet.

A modem IMELnumber is a 15 digit numbers placed at the back of your modem which is used for unlocking or cracking a modem, thereby making it universal modem.

STEPS TO CRACK A MODEM

Hope you are done with downloading of the software, now follow these steps to unlock your modem:
(1) Now launch the PC
(2) locate the modem unlocking soft ware and launch it.
(3) Type in the modem IMEL number into the space provided for the IMEL number.
(4) Click on the generate button and watch out for your modem unlocking number.

FINAL STEP

Hurray! I guess the long awaited modem unlocking number must have been out by now, if yes kindly insert any other network simcard into your modem and plug in your modem into your PC. NB: You will be asked to enter your unlocking code simply because a different simcard has been inserted. Dont panic, chill and smile as you are only expected to put that IMEL number that you generated and finally your modem will be unlocked completely.
Now to browse the internet with that different simcard, e.g 9 mobile simcard in MTN modem, you will need to create a profile for 9 mobile internet settings on your MTN modem. This is the procedure
(A) Click on “Tools’ on the modem window,
(B) Click on ‘Options’
(C) Click on ‘Profile management’
(D) Click on ‘ (new) ‘ and input these internet settings as written below.

9 MOBILE SETTINGS

Profile Name: 9mobile
APN: 9mobile
Access Number: *99#
User Name and Password: You can leave them
blank (empty).
After typing in the settings above, click on ’save’
or ‘ok’.
Go back to the initial page that came up when you clicked on the modem icon on your PC desktop.
Select the name you used in saving the 9mobile settings, then click on connect.
With this you should be browsing with your 9mobile simcard on MTN modem or other networks now.
Below are the settings for other GSM network’s modem

GLO SETTINGS

Profile Name: GLO
Access Number: *99#
APN: glogwap OR glosecure
PASSWORD: wap OR gprs
USERNAME: wap OR gprs
Go back to the initial page that came up when you clicked on the modem icon on your PC desktop.
Select the name you used in saving the 9mobile settings, then click on connect.
With this you should be browsing with your glo simcard on MTN modem or other network’s modem.

MTN SETTINGS

Profile Name: MTN
Access Number: *99#
APN: web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net
USERNAME: web
PASSWORD: web settings.
Go back to the initial page that came up when you clicked on the modem icon on your PC desktop.
Select the name you used in saving the 9mobile settings, then click on connect.
With this you should be browsing with your MTN simcard on any modem.

AIRTEL SETTINGS

Profile Name: AIRTEL
APN: internet.ng.airtel.com
Access Number: *99#
User Name: internet
Password: internet.
Go back to the initial page that came up when you clicked on the modem icon on your PC desktop.
Select the name you used in saving the 9mobile settings, then click on connect.
With this you should be browsing with your airtel simcard on MTN modem or other network’s modem.
